About the Speaker

Damon Huard grew up in Puyallup Washington, where he played Quarterback for his father Mike at Puyallup High School. He then went to the University of Washington and excelled as a quarterback. He was part of Washington's National Championship team in 1991 and was the MVP for the Washington football team in 1995. He played 12 seasons in the NFL, with the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs, from 1997 to 2008. During that time, he was on 2 Super Bowl championship teams with New England.

Damon joined his alma mater, the University of Washington, as an athletic department fundraiser in 2010 and in 2013 took on the new role as Chief Administrative Officer of the football program. Under new head coach Chris Petersen, he became the UW football program Director of External Relations. Since 2010, Damon has been the color analyst on Husky radio broadcasts, a position he will be leaving after this year. Damon and Dan Marino have a wine-making venture in Woodinville, called "Passing Time". He is also involved with a new restaurant, Como, which is located next to Lake Washington, at Carillon Point in Kirkland.

Damon and his wife Julie Ann have 3 children. His son Sam is a left handed quarterback (like Damon's brother Brock) at Kennedy High School, graduating in June 2021, and has committed to the University of Washington.
