"Using Humor for Better Advocacy and Unity"
Eric Golub
Comedian, Author and Speaker
Introduced by: Bob Holert
Eric makes his living giving partisan political speeches but today his talk will be absolutely 100% apolitical. Eric loves Rotary because it gets him as far away from partisan politics as possible. His goal is to get through his remarks with people having no idea what side he is on.
His nightmare scenario is that he make one partisan remark and one person storms out. That prevents a blind child in Africa from getting their corrective eye surgery because the person he ticked off was either the person funding the effort or the surgeon!
The entire purpose of his presentation to Rotary groups is to use humor to bring people together. Whether you are to the left of Bernie Sanders or the right of Ted Cruz, fun and fellowship will be had by all!
About the Speaker
He is Brooklyn born and Long Island raised. Eric received his B.A. from American Jewish University and his MBA in finance from the University of Southern California. After 15 years in the stockbrokerage and oil industry, in 2009 he entered the full-time speaking circuit. He has lived in Los Angeles since 1994.
After 8 years of partisan political speaking, Eric wanted to do something more unifying to bring people together. This led to speaking to non-partisan groups including Kiwanis Clubs, Rotary Clubs, and other charitable organizations.
