"Update on Providence Health & Services"
Preston Simmons
CEO Providence Health & Services, Northwest Washington Region
Introduced by: Jonathan Heras
Preston Simmons will give an overview of what’s happening within the Providence Health System and Christine Tipton will speak to the Children’s Center and Autism programs specifically.
In seeking better accessibility to healthcare, Renton-based Providence Health & Services on Thursday August 21 announced a partnership with Walgreens (Nasdaq: WBA) to open up 25 retail health clinics across Washington state and Oregon.
The Providence Express Care clinics, called Swedish Express Care in the Seattle area, will be located in Walgreens stores. The clinics will be owned and operated by Providence and its affiliates. Patients will be able to access convenient health care on a walk-in basis or by same-day appointment at these clinics, which will be open seven days a week.
In the first six clinics, Swedish providers will staff Issaquah, Kirkland and Renton locations and Providence providers will staff Oregon locations in Beaverton and Milwaukie as well as a Vancouver location. Anyone can use the services provided at the new clinics, not just Providence and Swedish patients.
See what other enhancements Providence is making to provide health services to their patients and northwest communities.
