David will update us on Rotary First Harvest today. Rotary First Harvest connects farmers, truckers, volunteers, and hunger-relief programs to reduce hunger and food waste. By connecting and collaborating with a diverse mix of for-profit, non-profit, and government partners, Rotary First Harvest uses its unique business model to build and support award-winning programs and partnerships.

Rotary First Harvest has collected and distributed more than 400 million healthy servings of produce for those in need, while directly supporting development of more than 50 localized gleaning and produce-recovery programs across eight states.

About the Speaker

David has more than two decades of experience in nonprofit management, and is currently the Executive Director of Rotary First Harvest, a program that connects farmers, truckers, volunteer and food banks statewide to reduce hunger and food waste. David was chosen to participate in the inaugural Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute at the Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington as well as Executive Leadership Institutes at Stanford University’s School of Social Innovation. He has guided several non-profit organizations in the development of long-range strategic plans. David has hiked and biked on several continents, and also participates in flatwater sprint and open-water kayak racing, mountain bike racing, cross country skate skiing and fly-fishing.
