"Partners for Work - Mock Interviews"
Jane Kuechle
Introduced by: Bob Holert
Rotarians will meet outstanding students from the Bellevue School District’s Transitions program, through a mock interview process. Accompanied by their educational support person, students with developmental disabilities will answer set questions posed by Rotarians at each breakfast table and then be introduced to the whole club by a Rotarians. This program will give transition students the opportunity to experience the job interview process and help Rotarians understand their special skills.
The Partners For Work Program is a Rotary District 5030 project, adopted in 2003, and championed by King County Executive and Rotarian, Dow Constantine. This project focuses on creating new opportunities for people who have traditionally been left out of the job market by having Rotarians become more aware of individual skills and abilities that exist within their own communities. Rotarians are often the top people in their companies and play a key networking and leadership role in helping open the door towards paid work.
