ACTION: Tell all Autism groups they can get a FREE booth in the All in for Autism 5K/10K Run/Walk race village at the April 23rd event in Bellevue where they can discuss the benefits of their Autism services with race participants and attendees. It’s simple: Their Autism group needs to provide 10 volunteers and/or the Run/Walk participants and contact BBRC Run/Walk chair Kaj Pedersen at kajopp@gmail.com to reserve their free booth while supplies last.
ACTION: Sign up today to be one of the 14+ BBRC *member* volunteers we need to staff April 23 race check in and sign up to manage confidential participant data and cash. Sign up to volunteer for this by Feb. 14 if possible.
ACTION: Click on the links below and follow/like BBRC on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter:

ACTION: Volunteers are needed Thursdays at 11:30 @ Forest Ridge Internet Club meetings, which are going well.

UPDATES:

All in for Autism Run/Walk momentum!

  • 312 registrants
  • $52,500 in sponsorships
  • “Mr. Sounder” and former Sounders player Zach Scott, has been secured as Race Starter and personality for the Run/Walk.
  • BBRC submitted our proposed “All in for Autism Day” mayoral proclamation draft to Bellevue’s Mayor for review/approval to proclaim April Autism month in Bellevue, to coincide with National Autism Month.
  • The big accomplishment is that we have locked down on the course with the City of Bellevue and secured their approval. We also secured our Race Village, which allows us to overcome the challenge of the construction work underway in the park.

BBRC members honored by Rotary’s Paul Harris Society:

Jeff Cashman presented Paul Harris Society honors to BBRC members for their significant contributions. Congratulations to them and thanks to all BBRC members for their support.

Jason Cherney ($1,000)

Neil Bretvick ($3,000 total)

Paul Miller ($3,000 total).

Give Me Five!” and “Rotary International Conference” news from Wendy Fisher:

  • June 10-14 in Atlanta, seven BBRC members including Wendy will attend, participate and tell everyone how BBRC got so many volunteers and participants in its “All in for Autism 5K/10K Run/Walk”, a mayoral proclamation of “All in for Autism Month” in Bellevue, deep community support, and generated unprecedented revenue to benefit Kindering and other BBRC recognized charities.
  • Expect it when you least expect it, Give Me Five! It’s a new game which will debut at an upcoming BBRC meeting TBD. When someone says to you, “Give me five!”, then you must quickly tell them:
  1. Your name
  2. What you do
  3. Three word that describe you (“mother, baker, traveler” were Wendy’s example)

Rotary First Harvest update from Howard Johnson:
